It’s been an “in-tents” two weeks of testing, and our Wildcats showed up strong!
We are so proud of their hard work, focus, and determination. They gave it their all, and that’s what counts!
Way to go, Wildcats—you did your BEST on the TEST! #SpringdaleFamily

🍎Community Partner Spotlight: Apple Seeds🍎 At Walker Elementary, we are proud to partner with Apple Seeds 🍎—an incredible organization on a mission to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables 🥕🍓 and empower young minds to lead healthy lifestyles 🌱. Through hands-on farm field trips 🚜 and interactive cooking experiences 🍽️, Apple Seeds creates opportunities for students to explore the world of nutritious foods, try new fruits and veggies 🥦, and build valuable culinary skills in a fun and engaging way 🎉. From harvesting produce to cooking their own healthy snacks, Apple Seeds provides our students with incredible experience they won’t forget! We’re so grateful for this ongoing partnership and look forward to more farm-filled adventures next school year 🧺. Thank you, Apple Seeds, for helping us grow healthy habits—one student at a time! #SpringdaleFamily #WalkerElementary #CommunityPartnerSpotlight #AppleSeedsArkansas

Happy Principal’s Day to our amazing Mrs. Ryan!
You are truly one of a kind—full of energy, bursting with ideas, and always moving forward with passion and purpose. Your ambition is contagious, your drive is inspiring, and your kindness never goes unnoticed. Whether it’s leading with confidence or lifting others up with encouragement, you make a lasting impact every single day. We are so grateful for the way you love our kids, our school, and our community. You make this place better just by being you!💜

We had a very special STEAM Team meeting this morning at Walker Elementary! One student from each classroom was invited to join, and their voices made the meeting truly powerful.
We reflected on the glows and grows from last week’s STEAM event, shared our favorite Wonder Lab experiences, reviewed the 4Cs and the Engineering Design Process, and discussed what’s ahead for the remaining STEAM stations this school year.
It was such a meaningful opportunity for student agency—our Wildcats are thinking deeply about their learning, and their curiosity is contagious! Staff left the meeting feeling so inspired by our students’ insights and wonderings.
Walker Elementary really is a great place to be! #SpringdaleFamily

One way we are encouraging our students to learn in creative ways is by activating our hallways!
We’re incorporating science phenomena, interactive games, and collaborative learning experiences throughout our school.
When our Wildcats walk down the hall, we want them to stay curious, engaged, and excited to learn because authentic learning happens everywhere at our school!

Only 4 weeks left of the school year!
Each Monday until the end of the school year, we’ll be highlighting our Wildcats demonstrating one of the 4Cs — Creativity, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication!
Today, we’re celebrating Creativity!
Creativity is the ability to think outside the box, generate new ideas, and bring imaginative solutions to life. Here are examples of our Wildcats demonstrating their amazing creativity!
Way to go, Wildcats! Stay tuned each week as we spotlight more of the 4Cs in action!
#WildcatPride #4Cs #Creativity #SpringdaleFamily
